Understanding Pakistan's 5G Coverage Map
BasiraSoft Telecom's Live 5G Tracker is the most highly accurate and frequently updated network coverage map in Pakistan. Following the historic March 2026 PTA spectrum auction, operators like Zong 4G and Jazz have initiated massive infrastructure deployments across 16 major commercial hubs. This page monitors active C-Band (N78) and Mid-Band (N41) base stations.
Our real-time analytics are gathered directly through verified user telemetry, PTA regulatory disclosures, and API pings to local telecom infrastructure, ensuring that you can accurately determine if your specific neighborhood has transitioned to next-generation gigabit speeds.
Phase 1: Metropolitan
Currently active mode. 5G nodes are installed in high-density urban areas like DHA, Bahria Town, and major commercial IT sectors in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.
Phase 2: Suburban
Scheduled for Q3 2026. Coverage expands radially using N41 bands to cover university towns, suburban housing societies, and industrial corridors.
Phase 3: Nationwide
Projected for Mid 2027. Widespread Sub-6GHz networks connecting all provincial capitals and major transit highways (M2, M9).
5G Rollout Frequently Asked Questions
Why is 5G not showing in my city even though it's on the map?
5G signals, particularly on the C-Band (3.5 GHz), naturally have a shorter broadcast range than 4G LTE. Even if a city is designated as "Live," the actual connectivity is currently limited to specific micro-cells (nodes) rather than blanket city-wide coverage. You must be within a 1-2 kilometer radius of an active tower.
Which network currently has the best 5G speeds?
As of our latest telemetry checks, Zong has recorded the highest peak speeds (up to 1.14 Gbps) in specific test clusters in Islamabad, while Jazz holds the widest geographic spread of active 5G nodes across Lahore and Karachi. Real-world speeds vary heavily based on congestion and building penetration.
